THE WORD : SEED

Texts : Isaiah 6 : 9-10; Mark 4 : 1-34

Messiah taught the parable of the Sower and the Seed to His disciples and then in private He expounded to them the meaning.  He said that the Seed is the Word and that the prophecy of Isaiah 6:9-10 had been fulfilled.  But praises be to our Messiah that even in the prophecy is embedded words of life.  In verse 10, it states " ... lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and convert , and be healed" (Isa,6:10b).  That in itself is a prayer for The Holy Spirit to teach us all things and to sanctify us with His truth.
This is to move us from the earthly mindset and to focus our minds on the Heavenly Kingdom of Yahweh; or to live by His Torah only.  Too often we want to live the spiritual in an earthly way.  But He said the just must live by faith.  Now faith is spiritual and totally focused on Him and His kingdom.  Often His instructions to man does not make sense; but the key here is to focus on Who is speaking.  That is why Abraham was enabled to offer up Isaac because of Whom had asked him to do it.  It is an absolute surrender of one self as Messiah Yahshua was completely surrendered to His Father's will always.  Yahshua says to us : "follow Me" ; so too He asks that we be totally surrendered to Him and then He can create a clean heart in us that follows hard after Him.  Are you willing to let go ?  He will help us to do so!

Gleaning Rights: Matt15: 21-28;Deut24:19-22

The Syrophoenician woman cried unto Yahshua to have mercy on her daughter who was grievously vexed with a devil.  He ignored her cries; but explained that He was sent to the lost sheep of Israel.  She then came and worshipped at his feet; saying 'Lord help me'.  In response He said that one should not give the children's bread to the dogs.  Her answer is one of power in two things that she said.  Namely she said "truth Lord"; and also she stated that she has gleaning rights. How many times have I read this and not see it; that Yahshua' word is truth!  This shows that she knew something of the Elohim of Israel, that He is merciful, good and kind to all.  Deuteronomy 24: 19-22 teaches us that we should remember to leave food for the poor to glean and also the widow, fatherless, and stranger to glean.  Yahshua declared to her that she had great faith.  My Lord please help me to have great faith in You!

ADULTERY

The Torah portion entitled Vayeira in Genesis 20 is a good example of how serious the sin of adultery is in God's sight. King Abimelech took Abraham's wife Sarah to his kingdom; and even though he did not have sex with her, it is still adultery. Even though he did not know that she was married; yet he was committing adultery because Sarah was removed from under the covering of her husband Abraham. When a man takes a woman to live under his roof he becomes a covering to her and becomes her head. A wise man shared this revelation with me: that this account is a microcosm of Israel living in Egypt and the Exodus. Here we see Israel being kept by Pharaoh against their will; but Israel is betrothed to Christ who is their Bridegroom. We also see that He sends His prophet Moses to go get His Bride; and this was done with many signs, plaques and warnings of death if he disobeyed. Moreover, just as King Abimelech sent Sarah out with men and women servants, oxen, sheep, and 1000 pieces of silver as an atonement; so too did Israel come out with great abundance. It is the story of redemption and salvation and He sent His Son to redeem us. So you see that adultery is a most grievous sin, and the penalty is death; today it is commonplace, but the Word is eternal.

UNBELIEF : is DISOBEDIENCE

Psalms 95: 6-11; Hebrews Chap. 4

Unbelief is a deceitful fruit that has many poisonous and deadly seeds. Look in the Scriptures and see that from Genesis 3 to Revelation 22; how every act of disobedience will lead us towards death. As we all know too well that sin came into being through unbelief in the Words or instructions that was given to Adam. They choose instead to believe The Serpent's words that promised self-aggrandisement : 'to make them wise to good and evil'. They soon learned that obedience is life and wisdom and that disobedience is unbelief in the Truth and results in death or separation from Adonai.
In Matthew 17: 1-23, we see Yahshua rebuking His disciples who could not heal the demon possessed boy due to their unbelief. He explained it in verse 20 "And Yahshua said unto them, because of your unbelief : for verily I say unto you , if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting" (Matt.17:20-21). Therefore, the only cure for unbelief is to recognise our sinful heart's need of purification through prayer and fasting.
The heart of man is filled with self, which has four spirits namely: coveteousness, pride, envy and wrath. Only the Blood of Messiah Yahshua can cleanse away the self so that we can be filled with The Holy Spirit. The Spirit will cleanse our hearts with His Holy Fire and refine us, to produce the spirit of patience, humility, meekness, and resignation to His will, in other-words absolute surrender to His will always.
Prayer is the path to this surrender; and means that you will spend your days in communication and devotion with the Father; and this will build up a relationship and fellowship with The Spirit. It is easier to be obedient to Him when we have a relationship with Him. Messiah said' My sheep know My voice, but will run away from the Thief'. That is why the Enemy keeps us busy with all life's problems and toils so that we give Him a microwave prayer most times. We are instructed in Proverbs 3: 5-6' to trust in the Lord with all thine heart' ; so that He can show us what steps to take in our daily life issues.
What about fasting, how can this help us? Fasting is a good start in self-denial, to subdue our fleshly desires which war against your spirit. By denying it or depraving it of the physical comforts and desires The Spirit can then remove from us the covetousness, pride, envy and wrath. Moreover, when self is denied we become stronger and more open to The Spirit's leading. Above all we must be born of Water and The Spirit in order that our eyes and ears can be opened and the heart of stone removed; only then will the unbelief be removed and so that the Truth can set us free.

Our Greatest Need

What is man's greatest need today? Our greatest need is to know The Creator and to develop an aversion for sin. Over the years we have become desensitized to how sin separates us from Him and we consciously or unconsciously accept it as away of life, in which we can do little about it. The media is filled with the carnage of broken homes, lives and diseases which is caused by violence, disasters, despotic rulers and the stories are endless. Is there really any hope for us? Yes! There is hope; the moment that man sinned we were given the solution. The sinner needs a Redeemer and the Messiah came more than two thousand years ago and set us free from sin.
But, you say life is still the same and looks even worse! What is the answer? It is found in one word: unbelief. Most people agree that the Messiah has brought salvation to the world, but they believe that we have to live this way until He comes again. The reason for the unbelief is that we are deceived by religion and somehow we read the Bible but dont actually believe it. We are perishing for lack of knowledge, because it is very hard for most people to separate church and The Creator. Our concept of Him is often identified with the church, but the church is a social institution, and most often they do not obey Him or follow His instructions.
He has given us His Torah to instruct us in every area of our lives, and also sent His Son to demonstrate it for us. Our Messiah has sent The Holy Spirit to help us to obey and to give us the power to follow His example by faith and in renewing our minds. We can live in victory, let us seek to know the Holy Spirit and return to our first instructions: repopulate, replenish, rule and subdue the earth. All the instructions are written in the Word let us step out in faith and claim our heritage today.

Passover/Cross-Over?

During this season of celebrating Pesach it gives us many reasons to reflect on it's meaning. One of which is that Passover was made necessary when man sinned and fell far from the image of the Creator and was driven out of The Garden. Ever since that day man has to decide if he will heed the call to Passover or Crossover back to the Creator's kingdom. Enoch was one of the first to heed this call and he achieved perfection and was taken into the Most Holy Place or into the very presence of the Creator.
Next we see Noah answering this call and built the Ark on pure faith, even though no one had ever experienced rain, and was saved from the Flood. These faith stories enabled Abram to hear even more clearly and as a result left Iraq on a promise and became the Father of Faith to the world. The question to you is: will you crossover back to the Creator's Kingdom? Read the biography of those who have done so!

Woman the Helpmeet

Yah made the woman for the man so that she can help him realize his true potential. The woman is necessary for the man to become reinstated into the image of Yah and to function in His Kingdom. However, now that sin entered the picture the man must constantly fight his selfish desires in order to even begin to appreciate the woman and get the help he needs. Our society teaches that separation and gender differences are necessary for a man to be whole. Anything feminine in a man is seen as negative. But aren't these the qualities of men anyway? Afterall, the woman was taken out of him, so these nurturing qualities are part of him. Do you agree?
